What makes an effective investment?

Accepting results that are far less than the desired outcome is nothing less than a compromise. So how does one move from missing the mark to making money?

Tough question, but one that I am faced with every time I meet with clients to talk about financial matters. So I am going to share with you some thoughts on what I have learned and believe.
